Robby Keys’s musical journey started at the age of 13 when he decided he wants to learn how to play keyboards. His dad approved his wish and seeing a bit of talent and enthusiasm in Robby’s playing he got him his first Hammond Organ. Completely according to the motto «listen and repeat» Robby started to play along his favourite records and artists. In his playing style you can clearly hear the influences of the 70’s.
Robby had his first experiences on stage at the age of 14. He played in a cover band with his dad and his brother for almost 20 years until the pandemic of Covid 19 hit the world. Besides the family band, Robby has joined many Swiss artists playing in cover bands, tribute bands and bands with their original music as a session keyboarder. Due to his presence in the swiss music scene he also got in touch with musicians like Marc Storace the singer of KROKUS, Gotthard, worked with Piere Edel and many more.
He recorded the Hammond Organ parts for the recent album of blues guitar player and singer Phil Gates, which ended up in the Grammy process in 2024.
In 2021 Robby got in touch with his band «Basement Saints» which he later joined in 2022 and since then, the Rock’n’Roll train is unstoppable. Robby puts all his capacity into this band. Besides playing Hammond Organ, he is also active doing the booking, financial planings, tourmanagement and representation for the band.
