Gabriel Sharpe is a gifted Hammond organist, musician, and music producer whose sound is deeply rooted in the rich traditions of Gospel music and the Black Church. Known for his passionate approach to the Hammond organ, Sharpe combines soulful expression, church-bred musicianship, and musical versatility to create a sound that is both powerful and unmistakably his own.
Throughout his musical journey, Sharpe has had the privilege of playing for and alongside some of Gospel music’s most respected and legendary artists, including Rance Allen, The Clark Sisters, The Anointed Pace Sisters, and Ricky Dillard & New G. His musicianship has also extended beyond Gospel, including the extraordinary opportunity to play with legendary jazz bassist Ron Carter, demonstrating his ability to move comfortably across musical styles while maintaining the Gospel foundation that shaped him.
Sharpe’s recording experience includes work with Zack Williams & 1/A, further adding to a musical résumé that encompasses live performance, recording, production, worship, and ministry.
At the center of Gabriel’s musical identity is the Hammond organ. More than simply an instrument, the Hammond serves as an extension of his musical voice. From warm worship textures and traditional church accompaniment to driving shout music, expressive preaching chords, and powerful Gospel arrangements, Sharpe approaches the organ with a sensitivity to both the music and the moment.
His style reflects the generations of Gospel organists who transformed the Hammond into one of the defining sounds of the church, while also carrying his own musical personality and approach. Whether supporting a vocalist, accompanying a preacher, directing the flow of worship, recording in the studio, or taking the organ to the forefront, Gabriel Sharpe plays with one purpose: to make the instrument speak, serve the music, and move the people.
For Gabriel Sharpe, the Hammond organ isn’t simply something he plays—it is part of his musical language, his ministry, and his legacy.
