Hailing from Minneapolis/St. Paul, you can catch Brian Ziemniak performing almost any style of music – consistently crossing musical boundaries while being true to the style and himself. He currently leads his own group, BZ3 Organ Trio – who released their debut recording in March 2023. BZ3 is a modern take on a classic organ trio – with an edgy funk sound informed by their Minneapolis roots. The band is known for their impassioned live performances, taking listeners on an engaging journey through jazz, funk, soul and r&b styles with a dynamic improvisatory slant.
In addition to his organ trio work, you can hear Brian with legendary Twin Cities funk group Dr. Mambo’s Combo, Those Medley Kids (a progressive rock band featuring the music of ELP, YES, Genesis etc), and Ethiopian bassist Yohannes Tona. Brian has recently toured with Dutch saxophonist Candy Dulfer, The Blues Brothers, and visited two continents with star-studded funk group fDeluxe.
