Henry Dickhoff is a jazz organist based in Chicago. He began playing Hammond organ in high school after being encouraged by his classmate and band director to check out the ubiquitous Jimmy Smith – the rest is history! Henry released his first CD Running Start in 2013 with his Colorado-based organ trio. While still a student at the University of North Texas, Henry’s organ group Visceral Trio toured the midwestern United States during summer 2016, and released a self-entitled EP in 2018. Most recently, Henry’s co-led organ trio Righteous Rooster released its debut album Fowl Play in 2024 on Shifting Paradigm Records. Fowl Play features original compositions by members of the band, and they expect to release a sophomore album in 2025.
