Born and raised in Johnson City, Tennessee, Hammond B-3 Artist Jacob Tipton cultivated his talent playing soul gospel music in the church at age eight. Jacob specializes in the vintage Hammond B-3 organ, keyboards, harmonica, and background vocals. Heavily influenced by his musical hero, Billy Preston, Jacob is able to playany genre of music and adapt to the style of the artist he performs with. Versatility is a cornerstone of Jacob’s musicianship, which landed him several performance and session opportunities.
In 2013, he moved to Nashville after establishing his name in the Appalachian Region. He performed and/or recorded with Jim Belushi, Mike Farris, Shirley King (daughter of the late B.B. King), Roosevelt Collier (Allman Brothers, Lee Boys), Al Green, Shaun Murphy (Eric Clapton, Bob Seger), Robert Randolph, Sista Ruth & The Swamp Grass Revival, Stacy Mitchhart Band, LuLu Roman, Leroy Parnell, Wynonna Judd, Samantha Fish, Jim Messina (Loggins & Messina), Anne Wilson, Legendary country music artist, T Graham Brown, and many, many more.
Jacob is an Official Hammond Artist, and endorsed by Lounsberry Pedals, Axe Wrap, and Booker Lab. Jacob tours all overthe world featuring these products. He is currently working with multi-Grammy award winner, Zach Williams, while playing sessions with various artists.
