Marcia Richards is a multi-instrumentalist, vocalist and songwriter best known as a core member of the UK band The Skints. A lifelong touring artist, she blends reggae, punk and soul influences onstage, switching effortlessly between keyboards, organ, saxophone, flute, harp, melodica, guitar and vocals.
A creative force both musically and visually, Marcia is also an established photographer who works at a high level within the music world, bringing soft tones and a distinctive, artist focussed perspective to her photography.
With The Skints, she has toured internationally from a young age, performing everywhere from grassroots venues to major festivals across Europe, the US and Japan. Her singing and organ work, especially her love for rich textures and expressive playing, has become a defining part of the band’s sound.
Marcia is currently completing The Skints’ next album and continuing to expand her creative practice across music, photography and branching into acting. Joining the Hammond Artist Roster reflects her long-standing connection to expressive keyboard performance, analogue warmth, and instruments built with true musical soul.
