Peter Spero is a musician, composer, music producer and director, studio engineer, song writer, orchestrator for feature films and media, and performing artist. Peter has been signed to Chrysalis and RCA records with TAMI Show, and MCA Records with Kevin Lee and the Lonesome City Kings. Among others, he has worked with producers Mike Chapman (Blondie), Frank Filipetti (7x Grammy winning music producer). At present, Peter performs live on Hammond Organ, piano, and synth with his band Black Diamond Sessions Featuring Jess Bess. At his studio in Highland Park IL he records and produces songs for his band, as well as scores for media and feature films. Film credits include the Heavens to Betsy feature film series directed by Robert Alaniz, Honest to God directed by Robert Alaniz, and Book of Leah directed by Charlie Matthau (in post-production for release in 2025). Peter is a member of the Grammy Awards Recording Academy as well as being a current Grammy voter.
